The Higher Population Council and Pathfinder International have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing and expanding the "DARBY" digital platform to become a comprehensive, reliable national tool for protecting youth health. This will be achieved by educating them about components of their reproductive health, in accordance with the context of national cultural, religious, and social values.

The agreement aims to enhance the knowledge of adolescents and youth (both males and females) in the age group of 10-24 years. This will be achieved by providing integrated, interactive digital content that empowers them to make safe and well-informed health decisions.

The agreement's activities, spanning 14 months, will focus on integrating the content of the "Act with Him/Her – AWH" program into the Darby platform. This integration aims to meet the needs of different adolescent age groups by providing them with appropriate age content that reflects the local context and responds to their educational needs in an interactive and engaging manner

During the meeting held to discuss the project's implementation procedures, the Representative of Pathfinder International, Dr. Wijdan Abulail, clarified that the organization takes pride in this partnership with the Council to expand the scope of youth benefiting from digital educational resources. She indicated that integrating the "Act with Him/Her" (AWH) program methodology into the platform will contribute to widening the circle of beneficiaries and enhancing the sustainability of the program's positive impact.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Higher Population Council, Professor Dr. Issa Al-Masarweh, highlighted the importance of this collaborative cooperation between the two sides. He emphasized that this partnership falls within the framework of the Council's efforts to enhance opportunities for protecting youth health and aligns with the National Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy (2020–2030).

He added that developing the "DARBY" platform represents a significant step towards building a safe and supportive digital environment for youth. This environment will help bridge knowledge gaps and promote responsible health behaviors among them, shielding them from the unsafe influence of content published in the digital space.
