HPC Holds A Training Workshop on Gender Indicators in Cooperation with The Department of Statistics and Statistics Denmark

The Higher Population Council in collaboration with the Department of Statistics  and Statistics Denmark carried out a Training Workshop today on Gender indicators financed by The Danish Center for Research on Women and Gender (KVINFO).
The workshop purpose is to exchange expertise and experiences in the field of Gender indicators, data and information.  Digital presentations by the Department of Statistics  and Statistics Denmark include  educational, social, economic and political data on women in Denmark and Jordan. 
Statistics Denmark also described  the type of services it provides such as Social, Welfare, Employment and Unemployment, Migration Indicators , while HPC presented the role it plays in providing Demographic and Gender Gap Data in Jordan. 
It is noteworthy that The Danish Center for Research on Women and Gender (KVINFO) has worked since 2006 in cooperation with several Governmental and Civil institutions in Jordan in order to shed light on gender, women's rights and public participation issues; which is part of the Arab Danish Partnership Programme.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark launched the Arab Danish Partnership Program in 2003 with an aim to support partnerships between Danish and Arab institutions in the field of human rights, good governance, women's rights and economic development. The program seeks to strengthen partnerships dialogue and mutual understanding between Denmark and the Arab world.
