Higher Population Council concludes the “Opportunity Youth” Training Program

The Higher Population Council concluded a training program to build the entrepreneurial capacity of a group of young people who participated in the “Opportunity Youth” initiative and train them in designing entrepreneurial ventures to contribute to national efforts aimed at realizing the demographic dividend.

HPC secretary general, engineer Maysoon Al Zoubi said that this training program complements HPC’s efforts in implementing the “Opportunity Youth” program which aims to raise youth awareness of population issues, enable them to contribute to the realization and investment in the demographic dividend and design and execute entrepreneurial projects and community initiatives in their respective regions by providing them with leadership skills

Al Zoubi noted that 50 young men and women from different governorates of Jordan from pioneer youth institutions were selected to take part in the program, and two training camps were conducted to enable them to gain knowledge on population issues, entrepreneurial skills and designing   projects.

On the other hand, HPC Director of Programs, Dr. Sawsan Al D’ajaa said that the training program which was implemented in the Northern, central and southern regions aims to build the capacity of youth in entrepreneurship to enable them to design and initiate entrepreneurial projects in a practical, professional and innovative manner before actual execution.
