AMMAN – The cooperation agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and the Higher Population Council (HPC) has been renewed that has signed between the two sides, which aiming to enhance cooperation in a number of professional services provided by the group's member companies, especially with regard to building the capabilities of the Council's employees.
The agreement was signed by the President of Abu-Ghazaleh Global, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, and Dr. Abla Amawi, Secretary General of the Higher Population Council.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the importance of the role of the Higher Population Council in population activities and information, and its role in raising awareness of Population and development through well-studied and specific programs for each media and educational institutions, with the aim of contributing to facing demographic challenges and to achieve the objectives of population policy in Jordan.
Abu-Ghazaleh indicated that given the role of his global group in spreading knowledge, raising and building capabilities, that he is proud to serve this important institution, in addition to the various institutions in the dear country.
Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that developing competencies and capabilities has become an urgent necessity that must be kept pace with, as the future will not be without knowledge. He also stressed that raising the efficiency of employees has a significant impact on improving the services provided and keeping pace with this prestigious institution with the requirements of work development.
For her part, Dr. Amawi stressed the importance of renewing this agreement to enhance cooperation between the Council and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global in the field of providing professional and training services, especially with regard to building the capabilities of the Council’s staff in areas related to the nature of its work after the success of the experiment during the last period.
Amawi added that the cooperation is based on evaluating the capabilities of the council’s employees and determining the training needs based on them, to enable them to perform the roles entrusted to them to serve population and development issues.
Amawi pointed out to the council's continuous keenness to build effective partnerships with private sector institutions, which is a main pillar in building society and an important element in supporting population policies and issues and achieving the desired sustainable development.
The two sides agreed to form a joint working group, in order to determine aspects of capacity building for the council’s staff in the training courses that will be held at the headquarters of “Abu-Ghazaleh Global”, whether at its headquarters “Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy” or at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation.
