HPC and Abu-Ghazaleh Global Organization Sign a Cooperation Agreement

On Tuesday, HPC and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Organization signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two parties in a number of professional services provided by the Group’s members, especially in relation to building the capacities of HPC’s employees.

The MOU was signed in the presence of the chairman of Abu-Ghazaleh Global Organization, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and HPC secretary, Dr. Abla Amawi.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the importance of HPC’s role in population activities and information and its role in raising awareness towards population and developmental issues through deliberate and specified programs for all actors including the media and educational institution with the purpose of addressing population challenges in order to achieve the population policy goals in Jordan.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that in keeping with Abu-Ghazaleh Global Organization’s role in disseminating knowledge and building capacities, the Group is happy to serve this valuable institution in addition to the various institutions in Jordan.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure at this Agreement which would serve the Council. He noted that competency and capacity development has become an urgent need that must be fulfilled, for future is realized only through knowledge.

 Furthermore, he stressed that improving the employees’ efficiency yields a great impact on enhancing the provided services and helps HPC to keep up with the requirements of business development.

On her side, Dr. Amawi stressed the importance of this MOU in enhancing the cooperation between HPC and Abu-Ghazaleh Global Organization in the area of providing professional and training services, especially in relation to building the capacities of HPC’s employees in the fields relevant to the nature of its work. This cooperation will be based on assessing the capacities of HPC’s employees and identifying the training needs based on such, in order to enable the employees to carry out the roles assigned to them in service of the population and developmental issues. Furthermore, Dr. Amawi praised the Group’s leading role in community development manifested in the provision of qualitative services that contribute to the Group’s progress and development.

Amawi added that HPC is keen to build active partnerships with private sector institutions which are considered a central pillar in building society as well as an important element in supporting population policies and issues and achieving the desired sustainable development.

The two parties agreed to form a task team for the purpose of identifying the aspects of building the capacities of HPC's employees in the training courses that will be held in Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Organization offices, whether at the headquarters of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Academy or at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation.
